Recently, news went viral of a man being arrested after smashing several ATM screens and even waved at a camera before doing the deed. Is there any truth to this?Malay-language portal Majoriti reported that Limbang OCPD Supt Parum Niot confirmed the incident, saying that a 42-year-old local man had been arrested on Monday .
He added that with the arrest, Limbang police believe that four cases of vandalised ATMs have been solved. Supt Parum said that a police report about the damaged ATM was lodged on June 3,while a case of damage to a window of a car was received on July 9. He added that a police report about the most recent vandalism of the ATM was received last Sunday and said that an investigation paper has been opened under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
