Recently several people in the 'wild' have reported receiving letters from Bank Negara offering access to an online investment platform guaranteed by the central bank.
However, these letters look fishy, are they actually from scammers misusing Bank Negara's name and logo?In a post on Bank Negara's Facebook page, the central bank acknowledges that unscrupulous individuals have misused its name, logo and even senior officer's names to peddle fake financial services."The misuse of letters and identities of Bank Negara Malaysia staff for fraud purposes is on the rise.
