Sounds great (pun intended) Snapdragon TechNave

On the second day of Snapdragon Summit 2022, Qualcomm announced its most advanced Bluetooth audio platform to date - the Qualcomm S5 Gen 2 Sound Platform and Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 Sound Platform with support for Snapdragon Sound technology. The company did mention a couple of things about the improved audio so here are some more that you can read below.

As mentioned yesterday, there will be Spatial Audio and Dynamic Spatial Audio for the masses. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is said to offer new head tracking, improved lossless music streaming, and 48ms latency between a phone and earbuds. This marks the chipset as the first to deliver Lossless audio over Bluetooth.

The platforms also support third-generation Qualcomm Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, which improves the listener experience by adapting to both in-ear fit and the user’s external environment. It includes Adaptive Transparency mode with automatic speech detection, to support smooth transitions between immersive noise cancelling and natural sounding leak-through when a listener needs to hear the world around them.

Qualcomm said that the team have worked closely with the Bluetooth SIG to ensure these new platforms are fully qualified to support this use case. They also mentioned that we can expect the Qualcomm S5 and S3 Gen 2 Sound Platforms coming in commercial products in 2nd half of 2023. So that's going to take some time.
