KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — The Public Services Commission today said it interviewed a total of 8,193 contract staff for 4,914 vacancies this year for permanent government positions as doctors, dentists and pharmacists.

The PSC said it had on March 31 submitted the list of all 8,193 interviewees to the Health Ministry for a detailed check, in order to make sure that all those who were selected for the permanent jobs met requirements. “The remaining candidates who fulfil the Health Ministry’s specific requirements but are not offered permanent appointments during this time’s recruitment session will be made reserve candidates,” the PSC said.
