PETALING JAYA: Bekas timbalan menteri di Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan hari ini membantah penggabungan antara UEM Sunrise Berhad dan Eco World Development Group Bhd yang menurutnya menimbulkan pelbagai persoalan.
“Banyak pihak menganggap penggabungan ini akan merugikan UEM Sunrise-Khazanah dan lebih banyak menguntungkan ECO World,” katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini. Terdahulu, Pemuda Umno Wilayah Persekutuan turut mendesak kerajaan menghentikan langkah penggabungan antara syarikat hartanah UEM Sunrise dengan Eco World Development Group Bhd.
Bahkan, Nizham turut meminta penjelasan apakah kepentingan Bumiputera masih akan dilindungi memandangkan UEM mempunyai bank tanah besar dan sebahagian besar bank tanah ini tertumpu di kawasan Bumiputera
