Beberapa kawasan di Kuala Lumpur tenggelam ekoran hujan lebat berterusan sejak beberapa hari lalu.
Menterinya, Khalid Abdul Samad berkata melalui kajian tersebut pihaknya akan dapat mengurangkan kapasiti kemampuan untuk mengalirkan air hujan. “Oleh kerana sekarang hujan dah lebat kemudian mungkin sudah ada perubahan dengan adanya pembangunan maka mungkin kita kena tambah lagi dari segi kapasiti kemampuan untuk mengalirkan air hujan dan air banjir ke sungai-sungai,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas pengumuman harga baru pembelian tanah Kampung Baru hari ini.
Menurut bomba lagi, air yang naik dengan pantas menyebabkan kesesakan lalu lintas di Jalan Lembah Ledang , Jalan Universiti , Bulatan Segambut , Kampung Segambut Dalam, Kampung Sungai Penchala dan kawasan Pasar Seni menghala ke Brickfields.
