KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s banking system remained well-capitalised throughout the first half of 2023 (1H 2023), with the banks continuing to maintain strong liquidity buffers, said Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

KOTA KINABALU: A total of RM18mil has been channelled for infrastructure development in Kinabatangan district through the federal Rural and Regional Development Ministry, says Sabah Umno chairman Datuk Bung Moktar Radin.

He said these projects were in progress while an additional RM3mil has been allocated for the district's waste disposal centre at a site currently being identified. Speaking at a function in Bukit Garam on Monday , the Kinabatangan MP slammed his political critics, especially those from the GRS-led state government who claimed that there was no development in the area under him.

Bung Moktar, who is also Lamag assemblyman, said such accusations by his critics were baseless as they were just trying to score political points without doing anything for the constituency.
