Putrajaya going after Malaysian companies causing Indonesia forest fires, says PM

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad says Malaysian companies will face punishment if found to have caused land-clearing fires in Indonesia. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Kamal Ariffin, September 18, 2019.

MALAYSIA will punish its companies that are responsible for land-clearing fires in Indonesia, said Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today. “We want to take action against Malaysian companies who have estates outside of the country that are contributing towards the haze because of burning in their estates.
