Employers' federation questions the need to bring in foreigners, following a report about plans to import Pakistanis as guards. FMTNews SecurityGuard

Many Nepalis are now hired as security guards, but Pakistanis may be the next wave.

“The rebranding of this job is crucial. Expand the scope of this job by giving them first aid, emergency response and fire fighting training, among other skills for Malaysians,” he told FMT. Samsudin said salaries of locals could be on par with the training and skills the workers have gained. Pereira said many retired army and police personnel want to work as security guards but the working hours were a put-off.

He said there should be a one-stop centre on hiring foreign workers to streamline the needs of the labour market.

chedetofficial drwanazizah guanenglim saifuddinabd Ya they import our palm oil n we import their workers. We are going to see a higher rise of social issues n crimes. New gov. Same leader. Fail to develop own nation n bringing in more 3rd world

One day,MC. Next work halfday. The next, problem with motorcycle. And then, only god knows. Take a wild guess who? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I remember when all jobs were going to the locals and foreigners were shipped home. Construction and roadworks ground to a halt, nobody collected rubbish, and public toilets were dirty.

Petrol station is flooded with pump attendant.

IN MALAYSIA LIKE GUARDS NEPAL

Couldn't get any worse. Your security already rob the complexes of Malaysia. Ask Bam Villa.

Oh..looks like this was the deal brought by Imran Khan..Pakis facing unemployment and economic issues at home,,And he conveniently chose Msia Govt..sucking up to Tun...

While malaysian are suffering with lack of job opportunities, my dear PM is urging ppl from Paki. Wat a smart move from a senile man

Which Malaysian would take up this job? It's a 7 day 12 hour job without any public holiday. They're cramped in hostels and have to be on the go all the time. Which Malaysian can tahan?

Mahathir’s doing! Taking away jobs from others to allow potential terrorists to enter our country as SECURITY GUARDS! Oh my God. Mahathir is pushing our country towards being like Pakistan, a hopeless country ruled by the Taliban and the Pakistan internal security agency

I too would question the issue. The manufacturing industry recently suffered huge losses when skilled foreign workers had to leave MALAYSIA because MOHR said we there are “many” Malaysians available to do the same jobs. So now we hear differently in the security services.

Think better we get them to train our cricket team to be “World Class”? Especially to beat India?

Stop hiring these foreigners.. Thats where the problems starts

To form a cricket team & path to world cup?

Holy shit , foreigners already flooded the country now more damage coming from atuk .

Every other Muslim nation's leaders visit Malaysia ,PM suck to them!!! Now Pakistani guards!! What about Malaysian Guards ,There are many who are unemployed , look at them!!

Up sikit gaji... org kite tu

The agents will be making millions while the poor foreigners keeps getting exploited. Better to invest in security technology and AI. Employ Malaysians by giving them better benefit and work condition

Agree. Malaysian first. in fact gomen shud work out how to reduce foreign workers in all sectors gradually and increase our local employment rate. this shud be in the manifesto. 5 years plan. chedetofficial drwanazizah MSabu_Official guanenglim

I rather have Nepalese, Gurkha even better.

The problem is we r willing to pay more for a Nepalese guards compared to locals with only one reason, quality and attitudes.

Can they do the job as efficient as foreigners

Out of curiosity, does Msian namely younger age wanna work in this security sector? The turnover in this sector is very I mean very high with lowest perks and employment benefit.

Jz bcos Pakistani PM visited Msia 2x & agree 2 buy more palm oil, v 'gallantly' reciprocate by hiring them s security guards.

Sorry to say this, not being prejudice but this employment of Pakis is not, not a good idea. They are coming frm a dilipidated country, with culture shocks, it will open the floodgates for more crimes.

Mahathir did not consult anyone. This is a deal with him and Imran. Period. I'm the hope Pakistan will buy 🌴 oil. Not happening . Social issues are going to major concerns I'm Malaysia with this.
