Lingeshwaren can now proceed to get his surgery.

CCEP Foundation vice-chairman Michael Lim Chin Chuan said the public’s quick response to the plea of Lingeshwaren’s family helped raise the amount needed within 24 hours.

He said the contribution included that from a woman in her 80s who donated RM4,000 and another donor who gave RM13,000. Teenager Lingeshwaren’s surgery was originally scheduled for 2019 but due to his parents’ financial difficulties, it had to be postponed.He could also only go to school on alternate days as it was too uncomfortable for him.
