KUALA LUMPUR: Pembuat kereta negara, Proton, menjangka jualan model Iriz dan Persona meningkat sekurang-kurangnya 30% dengan pelancaran model berwajah baru bulan ini.Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Proton Holdings Bhd Dr Li Chunrong berkata, Iriz dan Persona baru, bersama-sama dengan kenderaan utiliti sukan , Proton X70, akan kekal sebagai penyumbang utama kepada sasaran syarikat untuk mencatat pulangan modal tahun ini dan menukarnya kepada keuntungan pada 2020.
Beliau berkata, syarikat juga terus menerima sokongan daripada rakan kongsinya dari China, Zhejiang Geely Holdings Group. Bagi Persona baru, Li berkata, model itu menerima 303 penambahbaikan daripada model terdahulu, termasuk pengubahsuaian enjin untuk pemanduan lebih lancar dan penggunaan bahan bakar lebih cekap.
Kereta itu juga mendapat penarafan 5 bintang bagi aspek keselamatan di bawah Program Penilaian Kereta Baru bagi Negara-Negara Asia Tenggara .
