Lawyer explains why he did not take up offer for Zeti to testify.

Najib Abdul Razak's defence team was not aware that former Bank Negara governor Zeti Akthar Aziz was under investigation, according to lead counsel Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

He was responding to a question on why the defence did not accept the prosecution's offer for Zeti to take the stand during the former premier's RM42 million graft trial involving SRC International.

Zeti would only be an accomplice to najib and nothing more. It can't prove his innocence and will only drag her down together. It could be that najib paid her & husband to allow the transaction to go unnoticed.

I knew it, they are using this to prove there's a reasonable doubt. Couldn't script it any better than this. Obvious as hell!

In criminal trials the prosecution is not obliged to share any information with the defence. Its only in civil suits that information is exchanged. If the money to Zeti’s husbands company was from 1MDB, do you think Najib did not know about it.
