Prisons Dept to study feasibility of private jails

Deputy Home Minister Mohd Azis Jamman says the Prisons Department will be conducting a study on the feasibility of private jails. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, November 23, 2019.

THE Prisons Department has been asked to study the feasibility of forming private jails, said Deputy Home Minister Mohd Azis Jamman yesterday. He said if the proposal paper prepared is acceptable, minister Muhyiddin Yassin will submit it to cabinet for consideration.
