PETALING JAYA: Despite the election fever, politicians on both sides of the political divide took time to extend their greetings to Malaysians celebrating Deepavali.

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia supreme council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali wished a Happy Deepavali to all Hindus celebrating it along with a hopeful message of unity and respect among all Malaysians.

Selangor PKR chief Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari also wished a Happy Deepavali to all Hindus celebrating it, adding that he was looking forward to the celebrations.
