Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said the Pasir Salak MP paid the fine at the Lembah Pantai Health Office at around 3.30pm on Wednesday .Earlier Wednesday, ACP Mohamad Zainal said the former Prasarana chairman would be issued the RM1, 500 compound notice, after investigation papers were returned by the Attorney General's Chambers on Tuesday .
"It was for committing an offence under Rule 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations. This was due to his failure to wear a face mask during a press conference on the LRT mishap at the KLCC station," he said in a statement on Wednesday. He also advised members of the public to comply with standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tajuddin was questioned by police for an hour on May 27 for allegedly flouting the SOP during a press conference recently.
