Kapit OCPD Deputy Supt Freddy Bian said the body of the 46-year-old victim, Kenek Antok, a Kenyah from Long Dungan, Belaga was found hanging at a steep cliff by the search and rescue team at 4.20pm on Thursday .
However, he said that the police did not receive any official report that blood trails were found as they were not at the scene and the body was handed to them by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department. DSP Freddy said:"The body was taken to Kapit Hospital at 8am Friday morning," adding that initial investigations revealed that there were no signs of struggle or other injuries on the body.
