Police search for St Anne’s Church vandal

A vandal has daubed black spray paint on a number of statues in the grounds of St Anne’s Church in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. – The Malaysian Insight pic, December 5, 2019.

POLICE are searching for a man who defaced religious statues at the popular St Anne’s Church in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. Seberang Prai Central police chief Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said the incident occurred yesterday and was reported by the church’s security manager, who was told by a worker on the grounds at around 4.45pm that a man was spraying black paint on several religious statues inside and outside the church.
