SIBU: The police believe that the unidentified man who was found dead with 16 bricks tied to his neck and waist on Oct 14 was murdered.

Deputy state police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Dev Kumar, when contacted on Saturday , said the police have reclassified the case as murder under section 302 of the Penal Code.

He added that the witnesses saw the fight but did not see the suspects throwing the victim overboard.DCP Dev Kumar said the police have strong reason to believe that they may have returned to their home country.
