PETALING JAYA: Police issued 282 compounds to an entertainment outlet owner, caretaker and patrons for violating the recovery movement control order (MCO).

said when police raided the outlet in Tropicana, Damansara at 11.30pm on Saturday , none of the patrons practised social distancing.

"Each of the patrons was issued with a RM1,000 compound for violating the recovery MCO. We also issued compounds to the outlet's caretaker and owner for hosting an activity that hampered social distancing," he said when contacted on Sunday . While the premises had valid licenses, action was still taken against the owner for violating the recovery MCO, he added.

"We also detained two foreign women, both aged 20, for immigration offences. The public and the owner of the club must abide by the recovery MCO and stern action will be taken if anyone fails to adhere to the recovery MCO," ACP Nik Ezanee said.
