Federal Internal Security and Public Order Department chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mastor Mohd Ariff, who visited a roadblock in front of EkoCheras Mall on Thursday , said a number of senior police officers were making visits to these roadblocks to give moral support to their personnel who were hard at work during the festive season.

"They will also ensure that motorists who pass through these roadblocks have a valid reason to be out," he told reporters when met at the roadblock. "The most common offence committed was failure to scan the MySejahtera QR code followed by failure to wear face masks and entertainment outlet related offences.

"After that, they also patrolled neighbourhoods to ensure visits or open houses were not being organised," he said, adding that his personnel would also patrol areas frequented by foreigners during public holidays to ensure there were no large gatherings.
