PMO urged to take over management of migrant workers

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has detained the staff members of government officials over suspected graft in the recruitment of migrant workers. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 15, 2023.

FORMER Klang MP Charles Santiago today reiterated a call for the Prime Minister’s Office to take over the management of migrant workers from the Home and Human Resources Ministries. “Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim should be the deputy chair of the management while a retired senior government servant should be the chairman,” said Santiago in a statement.
