Sarawak premier Abang Johari Openg said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim recognised the economic strides and advancements the state had made of late.
Abang Johari said this follows an earlier request from Anwar for him to brief the Cabinet on how Sarawak’s economy has been developed in recent years, The Borneo Post reported. “The hydrogen economy and green economy are new to them. So, , I became a teacher to the Cabinet,” he was quoted as saying, with reference to the federal ministers and deputy ministers who attended the Malaysia Day celebration in Kuching.
On Saturday, Anwar praised Sarawak over its post-Covid-19 development strategy 2030, saying other states should emulate the initiative.
