PM to be conferred Pakistan’s highest civilian award

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's visit to Pakistan will see him receiving the Nishan-e-Pakistan, or Order of Pakistan, on Friday. It is the South Asian country's top civilian honour. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 20, 2019.

PAKISTAN will confer its highest civilian award on Dr Mahathir Mohamad during his three-day trip to the country, which begins tomorrow. The Nishan-e-Pakistan, or Order of Pakistan, will be given to the prime minister for his contributions to the United Nations, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and Asean, said Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim in Islamabad today.
