PM: Power supply will be restored quickly after floods recede

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has given an assurance that electricity supply to flood-hit areas will be restored as soon as possible once the flood waters have receded.

“On the factor of public safety, TNB was forced to temporarily disconnect the supply because the water level is still at the danger mark, and short circuits can happen and spark fires,” he said. The prime minister has also directed all agencies involved in flood disaster management to be prepared for any eventuality.

PM orders swift action to help flood victims in Taman Sri Muda | New Straits TimesKUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has ordered all agencies to work more swiftly and aggressively to assist flood victims in badly hit Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam. I’m happy that some drastic measures are finally being made to drain the flood waters in Sri Muda but not happy EPF is made to fund part of the cleaning up. Rakyat already used own money to aid victims past few days, now govt is using our EPF savings. 🤦 Why do we need a PM to make this order? So if we are in war, we wait for the PM? Aren't there qualified field marshals down below who could have made the same order on ground and in time, not three days later? People need to learn to delegate, empower and trust.
