PM must get Cabinet consent to dissolve Parliament, says Muhyiddin

The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president said that this was based on an agreement by Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob with Perikatan Nasional before taking over the premiership.

The Perikatan chairman also claimed that the Federal Constitution stated that the Prime Minister must get the agreement of the Cabinet before advising the Yang di Pertuan Agong to dissolve Parliament. “However, I know the majority of the Cabinet, as a number of them are from Perikatan, do not want to hold the elections now.

He also took a swipe at Ismail Sabri for not heading a council on the problems of the people but leaving it to a mere minister.

Actually, no need for consent.

There is no legal requirement for the PM to do so. In fact, its his own prerogative. Not even UMNO President can force the PM to do so

Don’t need ler just amended the law so don’t need to dissolve the parliament and also u guys can b in power forever cuz just had too many by state elections and money ain’t urs it’s rakyats that money can be used to betterment of the needy ordinary rakyat
