SINGAPORE: Malaysia has done all it can to reduce congestion at the Causeway and it is now up to Singapore to handle the issue, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister praised the efforts made by the Immigration Department, Customs and other agencies in the matter."I was there a few weeks ago and now Singapore must do what is best to reduce the congestion," Anwar was quoted by Sinar Harian as telling newsmen at the Milken Institute Asia Summit 2023 here on Wednesday .

Anwar recently announced that the government has decided on the multi-billion-ringgit Forest City as a special financial zone to accelerate the economy of Iskandar Malaysia. He said among the incentives was allowing multiple visa entries, express entries for those working from Singapore and a flat tax rate of 15% for skilled workers.The first one-hour session,"A conversation with the Prime Minister of Malaysia", was facilitated by Bloomberg senior journalist for West Asia, Haslinda Amin.

It was followed by a 45-minute session"Malaysian Investment Outlook: Talks between the Prime Minister and global investors" facilitated by Asia Milken Institute chairman Robin Hu.
