: Misi Malaysia untuk menarik pelaburan baharu dari Asia Barat diteruskan lagi dengan lawatan rasmi Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim ke Qatar selama tiga hari bermula 12 hingga 14 Mei.
Acara utama seterusnya adalah pertemuan dua ketua negara, apabila Anwar dijadual bertemu dengan rakan sejawatan beliau, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, yang juga merupakan Menteri Luar Qatar. Anwar menerusi hantaran di laman sosial X juga berkata beliau akan menghadiri Forum Ekonomi Qatar serta merasmikan kampus cawangan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia di Doha.
Bagi tempoh Januari hingga Mac 2024, jumlah perdagangan Malaysia dengan Qatar meningkat sebanyak 178.4 peratus kepada RM1.43 bilion berbanding RM514.9 juta pada tempoh yang sama pada 2023.
