: All parties in the Penang Unity Government today unanimously agreed that a PKR candidate will represent the coalition in the Sungai Bakap state by-election.
“We will go into the by-election on the spirit of togetherness and unity that was forged in the general and state polls in Penang last year and, based on this spirit, we will try to win back the Sungai Bakap seat, which was previously held for three terms by PKR,” he told a media conference at Wisma DAP here today.
The Sungai Bakap state seat is vacant following the death of its incumbent, Nor Zamri Latiff, on May 24 due to stomach inflammation. “The important thing is that we take into account not only names that are considered very influential within the community but also those who have contributed currently and in the past,“ said the PKR vice-president.
