In a statement, it said that the project was approved in principle by the cabinet on November 12, 2017 and a concession agreement was signed last April 5, which requires the developer to fulfil Environmental Impact Assessment , Social Impact Assessment and Traffic Impact Assessment requirements before construction could begin.
“The main objective of PJD Link is to disperse traffic congestion in Petaling Jaya by providing major connections with existing roads and highways. The statement was issued in response to concerns raised by Petaling Jaya residents over the construction of the proposed highway last Saturday.
