This follows the move by Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman to allocate a RM4 million funding to the Tanjung Piai parliamentary constituency to upgrade its sports and recreational facilities.
“Before this, they told us that there would be no vote buying before elections, will not use government machineries and will not utilise their position as government.“It’s becoming very clear that they don’t do as they say,” the Bera Member of Parliament told reporters in Parliament lobby today. On Saturday, Syed Saddiq announced that the Youth and Sports ministry had allocated RM4 million to upgrade six futsal courts and one football field in Tanjung Piai.
He said this was part of the RM14.6 million requested by the previous Tanjung Piai member of Parliament, the late Datuk Dr Md Farid Md Rafik. Meanwhile, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said PH was becoming what Barisan Nasional used to be in the past, by allocating money and using government machinery for by-elections.
