Petronas to build Sabah’s first nearshore liquefied natural gas plant

SABAH has endorsed the building of a nearshore liquefied natural gas facility by Petronas at the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park, said Chief Minister Hajiji Mohd Noor – a first in the state. The LNG project, subject to a “final investment decision” next year, is a step in the right direction, as the state government continues to pursue more deals to get additional revenue via equity participation, he added.
