Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia calls for relief measures for professional services firms

Thursday, 09 Apr 2020 09:12 PM MYT

It said architect firms, whether big or small, and similarly other professional services firms, were largely unable to benefit from the wage subsidies introduced in the recently announced Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package for small and medium enterprises . Almost all architect firms are already burdened by accrued outstanding fees equivalent to six to 12 months of their total salaries, PAM said in a statement.

Professional earned very high income shouldn't asking for stimulus like architects and lawyers etc.

A diplomatic way of saying.. For God's sake.. For how long do you want to keep our money? Do you think we eat sand huh? 😜😜😜😜

Most of lawyers and architects earned very high fees in their works and it's unbelievable they are asking for STIMULUS as especially lawyers nowadays so many of litigation cases bankruptcies and foreclosures etc., from banks to do, wondering lawyers needed stimulus from gov't. ?

These aren't 'relief measures', to be fair. Unlike the Malaysian Bar asking for aid, this is just a debt collection appeal. 'At least pay us all the fees you've been owing us for ages'.
