Ketua Polis Kuala Kangsar, Omar Bakhtiar Yaacob, berkata kejadian berlaku ketika dua jurujual syarikat emas berusia lingkungan lewat 30-an itu baru sahaja keluar dari kereta selepas meletakkan kenderaan di petak parkir, pada 11.22 pagi. “Kejadian berlaku ketika mangsa mahu menghantar barang kemas ke kedai sebelum cermin kereta dinaiki mereka dipecahkan suspek bagi mendapatkan barang kemas bernilai RM1.4 juta.Beliau berkata, usaha mengesan semua suspek dijalankan dan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 395/397 Kanun Keseksaan kerana melakukan rompakan bersenjata.
