Kesiapsiagaan pertahanan melalui perolehan aset tambahan akan terus diperkukuh bagi memodenkan ATM yang bertugas sebagai benteng keselamatan negara. Anwar yang juga Menteri Kewangan berkata pengukuhan keselamatan dan pertahanan negara mensyaratkan agar ketirisan dalam tatacara perolehan aset segera ditangani bagi menjamin kesiapsiagaan pertahanan negara.
“Kerajaan juga akan menaik taraf Sistem Pengawasan Maritim Laut dan menara radar penderiaan jauh, menaik taraf serta membina Kompleks Imigresen, Kastam, Kuarantin dan Keselamatan di pintu masuk terpilih,” kata beliau.
