Sesi penilaian Perlis Geopark ke arah Geopark bertaraf kebangsaan itu bermula Isnin lalu dan berakhir semalam.
Ketua Penilai Perlis Geopark, Dr Norbert Simon berkata, kebanyakan lokasi geotapak di Perlis dikenal pasti mempunyai nilai saintifik yang sangat tinggi dan boleh menjadi simbol kebanggaan rakyat negeri ini. “Sebagai pemerhati saya amat terharu dengan semangat kuat ditunjukkan oleh komuniti, NGO, kerajaan negeri dan Bahagian Perancang Ekonomi Negeri sepanjang penilaian empat hari di Perlis ini.
