Sabah STAR president Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Sabah Progressive Party president Datuk Yong Teck Lee and Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, together with Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, launched the logo featuring the words “Perikatan Nasional” against a blue background.With them on stage were their ally Parti Bersatu Sabah , represented by secretary-general Datuk Jahid Jahim.
In his speech, Hamzah praised Kitingan for proposing the setting up of Perikatan in Sabah and said was happy to receive the support of SAPP and PBS. “Some people said they don’t know Perikatan, but everyone now knows Perikatan is leading the country. The existence of the Perikatan logo proves that we are here to stay, ” he said
