Seramai 22 orang terdiri daripada kakitangan Perhilitan Perak dan Pusat Konservasi Gajah kebangsaan Kuala Gandah serta dua doktor vaterinar terlibat dalam operasi tersebut. Difahamkan, kehadiran gajah itu disedari pihak felda sejak 24 Disember lalu sebelum memaklumkan kepada Perhilitan Perak untuk tindakan lanjut.
