A woman who filmed herself arguing with the police after she verbally abused a hospital staff member was sentenced to five weeks and five days’ jail and fined S$600 on Wednesday.

IPOH: About RM49mil worth of drugs have been seized by the Perak police this year, says Datuk Deputy Comm Azizi Mat Aris."Erimin 5 pills, heroin and syabu were the three most drugs seized this year.

"We've also arrested a total of 10,578 people, with 1,891 people arrested for distributing drugs while 8,611 people were arrested for drug possession," he said during a narcotics cases' items disposal ceremony at the state police contingent headquarters here on Wednesday ."About 4,908 or 95% of the investigation papers have been charged at court," he added.

Deputy IGP Perak DCP Dato Azizi Haji Mat Aris mingling with his officers during the narcotic drugs disposal programme. DCP Azizi also said about RM2.1mil worth of drugs from 3,706 cases that have been completed in court between 2007 and 2023 would be sent for disposal.
