Kuala Kangsar OCPD Asst Comm Razali Ibrahim said in the 7.40am incident on Monday , the man from Gerik was asked by policemen at the palace gate to turn his White Myvi around when he tried to enter palace grounds.
“He went some 60m inside the compound of the palace, with our personnel chasing after him on motorcycles. ACP Razali said initial investigations revealed the man, a lorry driver by trade, drove all the way from Gerik and had also violated a police roadblock at the district there.“He claimed 'someone' had called him to come to the palace as the 'Sultan' wanted to meet him.
