Sabah’s official Covid-19 spokesman Masidi Manjun said police roadblocks mounted throughout the state since May 10 found that occupants in 642 vehicles attempted to cross districts. “The public who want to travel between districts but are not under essential services or did not obtain special permission are reminded not to do so.The Sabah government had previously banned inter-district travel from May 10 to 16 to curb the spread of Covid-19 infections during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri season.
Masidi, who is the state local government and housing minister, said 20 compounds were issued in Sabah in the past 24 hours, 10 of them to people who did not have approvals to cross districts.
