“Kandungan SMS terbabit menyatakan mangsa mempunyai mata ganjaran yang bakal tamat tempoh dan digesa untuk segera menebus mata ganjaran itu melalui pautan yang disertakan. Beliau berkata kes itu disiasat mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan dan orang ramai diingatkan tidak mudah terperdaya dan dapatkan pengesahan daripada syarikat telekomunikasi yang berkaitan sekiranya menerima SMS meragukan.
Ia berikutan syarikat perbankan mengalami kesukaran untuk menghubungi pelanggan mereka yang kebanyakannya tidak mahu menjawab panggilan atau mematikan panggilan kerana tidak ingin menjadi mangsa penipuan dalam talian.
