Naib Yang Dipertua Majlis Pengakap Negara, Datuk Zamani Tambichek berkata, pakaian seragam itu lebih menarik dan efektif dengan reka bentuk baharu termasuk warnanya.
“Dulu kita pakai baju pengakap yang sedia ada ketika ini, tetapi dari seluar pendek kita tukar ke seluar panjang. Selepas itu tidak ada uniform baharu diperkenalkan,” katanya selepas merasmikan Majlis Penutupan Jota-joti Kebangsaan 2023 di Kem Pengakap Datuk Tambichik Karim, Pengkalan Balak di sini hari ini.
Menurutnya, PPM akan memberi kelonggaran selama setahun kepada ahli untuk menggantikan pakaian seragam lama kepada yang baharu.
