Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali dalam keputusannya berkata, alasan yang dinyatakan oleh pasukan pendakwaan diketuai timbalan pendakwa raya kanan Gopal Sri Ram adalah tidak wajar. “Walaupun mahkamah ini tidak berhasrat untuk mempersoalkan keputusan ini, memang telah maklum bahawa Gopal Sri Ram terlibat secara aktif dalam mengetuai pendakwaan beberapa kes profil tinggi lain, termasuk perbicaraan kes 1MDB-Tanore yang sedang dijalankan dan akan berterusan sehingga sekurang-kurangnya pertengahan November.
