Penang deputy CM questions Kelantan’s luxury car purchases

Penang Deputy Chief Minister P. Ramasamy has slammed the Kelantan government for its purchase of luxury cars while borrowing federal money to pay its civil servants. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 22, 2020.

THE PAS-led Kelantan has mismanaged its funds by purchasing 14 German luxury cars while unable to pay the salaries of its civil servants, said Penang Deputy Chief Minister P. Ramasamy. Ramasamy said he agreed with Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng that there is something fishy in Kelantan in using federal funds to buy the cars for its menteri besar and state executive councillors.
