PENANG police have called off the search for a light aircraft believed to have crashed into the sea near Tg Bungah until they get fresh information on the incident that is said to have taken place yesterday.
Northeast district police chief Soffian Santong said today police and other agencies will resume the search and rescue operation if there are new clues to back the claim by several people who were on the beach at 2pm yesterday.
