George Town OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong said police arrested and compounded 42 people during a private birthday celebration and compounds were issued to 75 people in an entertainment outlet.
"The raid was conducted with the Penang Island City Council and some at the birthday party were also arrested for drug-related offences," said ACP Soffian in a statement Sunday .He said the owner and guests all followed standard operating procedures .
