GEORGE TOWN: Penang will cancel its Malaysia Day celebration scheduled on Sept 16 amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

State legislative assembly speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang said the decision was made following a state committee meeting on Sept 9."The state-level Malaysia Day celebration scheduled on Sept 16 will be cancelled," he said in a statement issued on Thursday .
