Thit Duc Thien, Setiausaha Agung Sangha Buddha Vietnam, menjelaskan pentingnya pertemuan antara agama di Kazakhstan, dengan mengatakan hal itu menunjukkan pentingnya hidup berdampingan secara damai untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan paling mendesak di dunia.

Thit Duc Thien merupakan antara pembicara semasa Kongres Ketujuh Pemimpin Dunia dan Agama Tradisional, yang diadakan di Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. Oleh kerana ini adalah acara internasional besar pertama di Kazakhstan sejak pandemik, pertemuan internasional seperti ini sangat penting untuk menyelesaikan beberapa masalah internasional agar lebih membangun pengertian serta memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat,” ujar Thien.

Thien yang berkesempatan bertemu Sri Paus Fransiskus semasa kongres mengatakan dia sangat gembira bertemu dengan Sri Paus buat kali pertama. Kehadiran Sri Paus Fransiskus dalam Kongres, kata Thien, membantu keberhasilan kongres, memberikan harapan bagi orang, menumbuhkan solidariti, bekerjasama demi mencari penyelesaian yang bermanfaat bagi orang lain.
