: Pelancongan domestik di Malaysia mengalami lonjakan 20 peratus pada suku kedua 2023 dengan merekodkan 54.5 juta pelawat domestik berbanding tempoh sama pada tahun lepas, menurut laporan Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia dalam Survei Pelancongan Domestik Malaysia 2023 Mengikut Negeri hari ini.dalam kenyataan berkata pelawat domestik meningkat 12.2 peratus berbanding suku pertama 2023.

Beliau berkata perbelanjaan pelancongan domestik bagi suku kedua 2023 merekodkan RM21.9 bilion, meningkat 23.9 peratus tahun ke tahun dan perbandingan suku tahun meningkat 13.9 peratus.“Secara keseluruhannya, prestasi pelancongan domestik Malaysia pada 2022 mencatatkan pertumbuhan positif. Ketibaan pelawat domestik merekodkan 171.6 juta pelawat berbanding 66.0 juta pada tahun sebelumnya, meningkat 160.1 peratus,” katanya.

Mohd Uzir berkata terimaan pelancongan domestik pada 2022 meningkat 248.1 peratus merekodkan RM64.1 bilion berbanding RM18.4 bilion pada 2021, pertumbuhan positif selepas penularan pandemik Covid-19. Dari segi volum dan jumlah terimaan pada 2022, beliau berkata Selangor merekodkan terimaan pelancong domestik tertinggi dengan RM8.73 bilion, diikuti Kuala Lumpur dan Sarawak yang masing-masing menerima RM7.73 bilion dan RM5.43 bilion.

“Melawat saudara dan rakan-rakan adalah tujuan utama perjalanan bermalam domestik untuk semua negeri kecuali Pulau Pinang dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan,” katanya. -
