Malaysia Headlines News

KUALA LUMPUR: Rising women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah had their moment in the sun when they gave Malaysia the winning point in the quarter-finals of the Asia Team Championships against Taiwan.

Their victory in Manila earned Malaysia a coveted spot in the Uber Cup in Aarhus, Denmark, and made them the heroines of the campaign.

Their performances were all the more impressive considering they were just paired together in June last year and now look certain of earning a spot in the Uber Cup team. They will be looking to continue their fine form in two upcoming tournaments – the Swiss Open in Basel and the Orleans Masters in France. The pair are all out to do well in both tournaments in a bid to move up the rankings.
